How can I watch the NBA live in Germany? The good news first: North Americans, expats and other sports fans can also watch the NBA games live in Germany. Although is currently no TV station that brings the NBA to the TV-screens, there are NBA live streams available. Fans can choose between a subscription with DAZN that covers a whole host of different sports events and the League Pass for purely NBA basketball.

NBA live with DAZN

The streaming service DAZN holds extensive broadcasting rights to the NBA. DAZN shows many top games of the regular season live, as well as many games from the NBA playoffs and the complete NBA finals. The mid-season highlight is the NBA All Star Weekend with all events - including the Slam Dunk Contest, Skills Challenge, Rising Stars and the All Star Game on Sunday.

What is DAZN?

DAZN is a streaming service exclusively for live sports. DAZN presents a lot of soccer live, such as the UEFA Champions League or football from Spain, France, Italy and Germany. In addition to soccer, another focus lies on US sports from the NBA, NFL and NCAA. Access to DAZN is only available with a suitable subscription. Users can currently choose between three subscription packages. For the NBA live (and other US sports) you need the DAZN Standard or DAZN Unlimited package.

The NBA will be streamed live mostly at night, often starting between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. German time. Some games at the weekends though also begin at prime time on Sat oder Sun evening. If you do not want to get up at night for the NBA live game, you can watch the full game later. All NBA games on DAZN are availble as "catch-up" for several days afterwards.
